TCYMN’s Annual Youth Media Showcase!

Did you know that the Twin Cities are packed with training programs and resources for young people to produce their own media? The possibilities range from print and online journalism, to radio and TV broadcasting and film production!

And it gets even better – every year youth and adult allies from these programs get together and show off their projects at a free showcase event, open to all teens and young adults from the Twin Cities (and their friends and family)!

from the Twin Cities

(plus their friends and family)


Hosted by:

The Twin Cities Youth Media Network

The Showcase will begin at 11:00am with the Media Market, featuring work produced by youth involved in TCYMN organizations, and including:

  • Representatives from media departments at MCAD, MCTC, and Columbia College
  • Media artists to review and give feedback on youths’ work
  • A live performance from local sound art and electronic music duo Beatrix Jar
  • Stop Motion Animation and Lightwave demos and activities
  • Free food


At 1:00pm, enjoy a youth-curated screening of amazing youth-produced media from across the Twin Cities. Teens will MC and judge the screening.
